[Dharak] The teacher's mouth screws up as if he's bitten into something sour. He peers over his shoulder at Kylar. "Friend of yours?" he asks -- in Mannish. (Might as well let this high-born lowlife to go right on underestimating me, he thinks. No speakee Filgan.) [OOC]: Still waiting for a description of Salar, and for an Emotion Sense "first impression." Also, since the PCs now include someone who doesn't speak Filgan (Ryzar) and someone who doesn't speak Mannish (Salar), we need to make sure to specify what language we're speaking. ____________________Reply Separator____________________ Subject: Re: Kalyr 53 - Into the village Author: kalyr@phoenyx.net Date: 12/20/2000 9:56 AM"Kylar I have given you my word, what you require from me you can have these people have taken my honour" salar starts to shout this as he recognises Kylar amid the group that has just arrived -----Original Message----- From: Tim Hall [mailto:Timjh@compuserve.com] Sent: 19 December 2000 19:31 To: kalyr@phoenyx.net Subject: Kalyr 53 - Into the village > >A glimer of hope comes across Salars face as he sees Kander in the crowd, >All of a sudden he breaks away and sprints towards the kendar shouting >"I seek assilum, I am yours to command until I repay my dept" Salar attempts to break away, but the two human warriors prevent him from getting very far. [OOC] >Still waiting for a description of Salar, Can we have descriptions of each PC, please?
Tim, > Can we have descriptions of each PC, please? > Standing 5'7" and slightly built, Jal wouldn't normally attract attention. However, his neatly arranged dark brown hair and clear, pale blue eyes somehow attract the eye, and his smile, movement and especially speech draw people's attention and interest almost against their will. His dress is always rather showy, though not foppish or expensive; he does marvels with a limited wardrobe. Normally his outfit consists of a scarlet tunic, broidered with rather fanciful knot-work, dark russet breeches and soft boots of a deep, rich brown leather - a present from an (ahem) lady admirer. A large, wide-brimmed hat shades his face from sun and - especially - rain. When the going is, or looks, sticky, he'll wear the nearest thing he has to armour; a sleeveless black leather jerkin, sewn with stamped metal shapes of exquisite design. A pair of soft leather gauntlets with metal lamellae sewn to the backs are always tucked through his belt, and he always makes a point of trying to don these before fighting anyone. His fighting style is the Haeton form, a two-weapon form practised exclusively hy humans, wherein the long weapon is held outstretched and (en garde) the parrying weapon rests transversely across the right arm. It's a very effective weaponform. (Jal currently is wearing his armour, his gloves are off, and his blades are sheathed. He's a bit travelstained. Despite that he looks pretty relaxed. But then, he's a good actor!) -- Hugh Foster -- NOTE new e-mail! -- hughfoster@totalise.co.uk http://www.gamestruth.com/Hugh/ Sat, 23 Dec 2000 17:09 GMT
[Dharak] The human newcomer standing closest to Salar is of average height for his race, clad in a reddish-brown cloak, olive drab trousers, and a dull brown leather helmet, cuirass, and boots -- all of which looks a bit the worse for wear. His skin is medium brown with a ruddy gold undertone; short black dreadlocks protrude from under his helmet. In his gloved right hand, he holds a polished hardwood walking stick. Though his head is cowled against the drizzle, his dark brown eyes flash with defiance as he glowers at the knight, his goateed mouth and chin twisted in ... could that be contempt? Clearly, this bedraggled ruffian does not know his place. [OOC] Happy Holidays everyone. >[OOC] > >>Still waiting for a description of Salar, > >Can we have descriptions of each PC, please?

Reylorna dresses in a long gray-white robe that can have the hood (cowl) pulled up, as it is right now under the fall of rain and open toed sandals. The robe is loose about her form, only to be belted in at the waist with a dark grey belt. On the right side of the belt is a small pouch, and on the left is her sheathed dagger. Her long blonde hair is usually worn loose with a few errant strands wandering into her face. Her pale blue eyes peer from behind this fringe giving the impression of shyness, which for the most part seems to be true. She still hasn't spoken, just watched and listened to the events as they have progressed. --Pandemonium

"The Kandar people as a whole, including the authorities, would not regard a band of knights riding through here with flame and the sword as a crime. More like pest control. "I cannot speak for the knights, but amongst our party are several who belong to organisations with a great deal of influence in the city of Calbeyn", Kylar says before Salar can speak, "The knights can be leant on if needed, I'm sure".
