"Leave the human alone, Thar", says the other, "We're late as it is". The two of them hurry on, ignoring Zul. Probably for the better. Both Gerryn and Zul pass through Aldor square to reach the Dragon tavern at about the same time. Aldor square is quite busy with a lot of traders selling their wares, with a smell of cooking sausages wafting across from one stall. A bored-looking bouncer on the door of the tavern pays them no attention. Inside it's dark, and about half full; mostly human but the odd kandar, in particular that fellow with the knife-throwing act. Rotemdol's story leaves his two companions relatively speechless. He glances up briefly to notice a couple of humans entering. [Matching the descriptions posted earlier] -- Tim Hall, http://www.kalyr.com "It's a fine line between stupid and clever" - Spinal Tap

[Matching > the descriptions posted earlier] Twitchy from being on the run, Gerryn's nerves scream into overdrive as he and Zul enter the tavern more-or-less together. He'd noticed her during his encounter with the knights and only the fact that she doesn't seem the type that his hunters would hire keeps him from passing straight through the tavern and out the back door. Nevertheless, he tries to keep his anxiety about the brown-haired woman to himself as he pauses to scan the public room for people who might be working for his hunters, prepared to bolt at a moment's notice. Making his way to the bar, he orders (and pays for) a drink of whatever's cheapest. He then tries to discuss what sort of food the tavern has available. All the time he keeps his eyes and ears open, both for potential hunters, and a point of contact with The Dragon. Jeff A. [Zul] Soraya isn't supposed show for another couple of hours, so Zul decides she should have little bite with her ale -- and have a little fun with her shadow. Hardly looks like muscle, Zul thinks, but he could be a spotter. One way to find out. She strides up to the bar, pulls up a stool next to Gerryn, and slaps down a few coins next to his ale. "I got this, and how 'bout a loaf and lager for the little lady, huh?" she queries the barman. Flipping her brown locks over her shoulder, she gives the young man a frank gaze and a carnivorous smile. "How's it hangin'?" she asks in a brusque accent that fairly screams "West Side of Filgeth." ____________________Reply Separator____________________ Subject: Kalyr 61 - The Dragon Tavern, Calbeyn Author: TimDate: 09/30/2001 8:33 AM [Apologies for the long gap - Real Life a bit hectic] "You show us respect, worm", says one of the knights to Gerryn as he bows, "That is good.
