"What are those rumours?" Rotemdol asks. "There's more than one rumour", Banjo replies, "Or rather, all of them say someone murdered their parents, but they have different versions of who that someone might be". "Like who?", asks Rotemdol "Well", Banjo says, "One rumour is that they were spies for Karmork, and agents of our city killed them. Or that the Karmork people killed them to stop them talking". "Other rumour is that the Karazthan did them in, because they were making Karazthan things without their permission. Machine people don't like that; they were in the construction guild, and the Karaz killed them to give the construction guild a warning. Their Men In Black do things like that". -- Tim Hall, http://www.kalyr.com Read my blog! http://www.kalyr.com/weblog
"Well let go talk to them. The rumors are interesting but I hope nobody has anything against the kids. There may be more potential here than meets the eye" Rotemdol says to Banjo. Rotemdol continues to talk to Ayruna, Lulmyra and the little kid. He tells them that he is impressed with Lulmyra skill and is considering taking her as an apprentice but would like talk to them first to see if it makes sense. He will also play with all of them to evaluate their potential (physical and mental). [does it look as if Ayruna could efford to rest for a while she will get over her illness?]

Rotemdol walks over to talk to Ayruna, Lulmyra and the little kid. "I am thinking about taking on an apprentice", he says, "I'm very impressed with Lulmyra's skill". Lulmyra's eyes light up with the thought. Ayruna looks far less impressed with the idea, and gives Rotemdol a dark look. Ayruna and Lulmyra look at one another, without exchanging any words. > Ayruna and Lulmyra look at one another, without exchanging any words. > There's a tension in the air between the two siblings. "What may be the problem?" Rotemdol asks addressing Ayruna, "If you ask around you may find that many people would jump at the chance to study knife combat and art. Very few people nowadays have the skill and I think your sister might excel. Would you be interested in a demonstration of what this is all about?" After some thought Rotemdol adds "Lulmyra showed the potential for juggling so she has the reflex and the coordination. We will need a trial period to see if she also has character and nerves"
"What may be the problem?" Rotemdol asks addressing Ayruna. She looks at him sternly, but doesn't reply. "If you ask around you may find that many people would jump at the chance to study knife combat and art", he continues. "Knife combat?", she says, "It just sounds too dangerous". There's a tone of disapproval in her voice. It's as if she thinks entertainers aren't very respectable; it's an attitude Rotemdol has come across quite often, amongst 'respectable' types. "Very few people nowadays have the skill and I think your sister might excel. Would you be interested in a demonstration of what this is all about?". "Yes", cries Lulmyra. "Lulmyra showed the potential for juggling so she has the reflex and the coordination", Rotemdol tells Ayruna, "We will need a trial period to see if she also has character and nerves". "What do I have to do?", asks Lulmyra, enthusiastically. Ayruna looks disapprovingly. -- Tim Hall, http://www.kalyr.com Read my blog! http://www.kalyr.com/weblog
"Ayruna" Rotemdol says " I see that you do not think entertainment is good enough for Lulmyra. You should always try to look further than the horizon. What I offered to teach is a set of skills that are useful in many professions. I used to be in the legion and I still teach fighting there. However, I found that killing people, even though it is not very hard, is not something I enjoy doing. I now try to make people happy with my skills. I see nothing wrong with that." "In addition," Rotemdol adds " I found that once you have a reputation you do not have to fight very often" "So" Rotemdol says turning to Lulmyra " I will go get some equipment and be back in a couple of hours. Then we can head for the legion training ground. I will show you what it is all about and we will see if you have what it takes. What do you say?" Given any sort of agreement Rotemdol will go over to the Dragon to pick the necessary equipment. On the way he will go get some candles from Getol ni Vallern, the candlemaker. [I know it is not on the way] While buying candles he will tell him " You know. I have just been preforming at the temple of Valarna. You will never guess who I have seen there. A knight, who was wounded in a duel, got into a fight with a legionnaire and lost his sword... What is the world coming too?" Rotemdol winks " That knight did not look very impressive without his armor. I wonder if he feels safe on the streets on the way back to his temple"

The two girls look at one another. The conflict between them is still obvious. "In addition," Rotemdol adds " I found that once you have a reputation you do not have to fight very often". "Surely it is better not to have to fight at all", Ayruna responds stiffly. "So", Rotemdol says turning to Lulmyra, "I will go get some equipment and be back in a couple of hours. Then we can head for the legion training ground. I will show you what it is all about and we will see if you have what it takes. What do you say?". "What have I got to lose?", Lulmyra says. "Do you really trust this man?", Ayruna replies to her, "You have no idea what he might really want with you!". "I want to go!", Lulmyra says, "It's not as if I've agreed to be his apprentice! It's just a try-out!". "Well", her older sister finally says after a pregnant pause, "On one condition; you find someone from this temple to watch over you. I still do not trust this man! He may have other designs on you!". Taking that as an agreement of sorts Rotemdol goes over to the Dragon to pick the necessary equipment. On the way he stops by Getol ni Vallern, the candlemaker, to buy some candles. The short, bearded Getol is busying himself arranging his wares at the front of the shop. "You know", Rotemdol says to him as he selects some candles, "I have just been preforming at the temple of Valarna. You will never guess who I have seen there. A knight, who was wounded in a duel, got into a fight with a legionnaire and lost his sword... What is the world coming too?", Rotemdol winks, "That knight did not look very impressive without his armor. I wonder if he feels safe on the streets on the way back to his temple". "They never do", Getol snorts contemptuously, "Bet he was there to see that witch of his. Despite the fact that those bigots aren't supposed to". -- Tim Hall, http://www.kalyr.com Read my blog! http://www.kalyr.com/weblog

" You seemed to be well informed" Rotemdol replies. "If you happen to hear of the red head whereabout outside the temple please let me know. I think that due to her delicate nature and skin an underground residence will be preferable for her and I wanted to discuss it with her" [ooc I assume I will finish this conversation before I meet Zul]

> Taking that as an agreement of sorts Rotemdol goes over to the Dragon > to pick the necessary equipment. "I am back" Rotemdol announce from the gate (he does not want to disarm again). "lets go to the training ground" Rotemdol waits to see who wants to come and leads the way.
