Okay, since I've deleted lists with wild abandon recently, I guess I should explain. "Deleting" a list on the old (current) system consists of moving its directory from "Lists" into "Old Lists" and cycling the list server. This is actually the same whether it's a list that will never be resurrected or one that's just on indefinite hiatus... I'm a pack rat. Restoring it consists of moving it back and cycling the list server. There's cleanup work on the web site (which tends to never get done, a bad habit), but that's it. On the new server, it will consist of moving the directory, and that's it. No restart necessary (though a rebuild of the pbemlist.html files would be in order). So I tend to do that with very little provocation, just to keep people from signing up to a list not knowing it's on hold. Normally, it's pretty trivial to recreate it. However, for the next week or two, I'd rather not. If pestered sufficiently, I will... on the new system. This means you get to play guinea pig (well, you already are, right here, but your players get to, too). -- Karen J. Cravens silver@phoenyx.net The Dog Ate My Sketchbook: http://silver.phoenyx.net/
