Same kind of thing happened to me. The status message for mine is:

0 message 469 from howcho@uniserve.com for storm ([SylvrStorm] The Other
Tower)

I'm hoping this is just another temporary glitch, but I'm wondering if I
should ask my player to repost, and if so, when it will be 'safe' to do so.

Thanks,
Kevin.

Something is happening at the smtp server handoff point. I'm not
sure yet what it is, but I've got some debugging code in place so
we'll see what turns up.

For what it's worth, all messages are logged, and they're going into
the digests just fine, so I can re-create any "missing" messages if
need be. Simpler in most cases for the original poster to try again,
though, since it'll require some manual groveling to figure out which
message(s) to resend.

If you watch the X-headers (if your mail reader doesn't give you the
option to look at these, change mail readers promptly), you should
be able to see X-Message-Sequence. This is specific to each list,
and you should never see breaks in the message-sequence.

Missing message ?

I sent out 5 test messages to the Holmes list on Sunday, none have
come through either to me at jano@mindspring.com or apparently to my
players. I asked them to respond, and have had no response from any
of them. This was prompted from the fact that they were mentioning
that they were only getting one message a week when mor were being
sent. Was this part of the transition and is it still in effect?

Missing message ?

Well, I need to reset a few things, maybe that'll help. I'm switching
everything over to MindSpring to get rid of this Hotmail stuff. Then
a real server can be at work.

No. The Holmes list got shut down by the "deadman switch" when one of its
users hit 100+ bounces.... it assumed that both the listowner and I had
abandoned the list. Actually, it was just the fact that the volume was so
low that I didn't notice that it was bouncing for so long, so it was
really just the former.

I can't really explain why you aren't getting the "No such user" response
that holmes now generates, but I am guessing your server is discarding
them the same way it's been discarding the listowner notifications for
umpteen months now. Not much I can do about that at this end.

Presumeably the one or two messages that did get through were either old
ones, or ones where the sender cc'd everyone and the ones they were
getting didn't pass through the Phoenyx at all.
