Subscribe failures

Since my subscriber list got corrupted and restored, I've had a couple
subscribe failures on the westwind list for no obvious reason (they're
not from remailer accounts; the domains were cygnus.uwa.edu.au and
singnet.com.sg). I haven't heard back from the people yet, so can't
provide details, but is there any chance some other info was corrupted
as well ?

How do I check whatever variable determines whether people can subscribe
or not ? Ages ago this was part of the FLAG command.

And as a trivia note, I got a message back from the mailserver at
lgscc.leics.sch.uk saying that my last Oasis turn "contains banned or
potentially offensive text." Someone's got an overzealous censor, I
think. The only word I can see in there that's remotely 'potentially
offensive' is 'bitch'.

I photocopied a mirror. Now I have two photocopy machines.

Subscribe failures

'discombobulate' - that must be the technical term, right? Does this
explain why my list was set to allowremail="true"?

More importantly, does this mean that remailers and things like hotmail are
no longer a problem, or does the new software simply stop those subscribers
in another way? I just want to know because I've got some text about it on
my web site that I should change if remailers are no longer a problem.

Thanks,
Kevin.
