Mhonarc

I noticed that my Mhonarc list hasn't changed since last Wednesday.

Is it being worked on or have I filled it up or something?

Bye for now,

Nick

Interesting. Some lists are working, some aren't... now, I was working on
the replacement, but I wasn't messing with the existing.

You can play with the replacement at
, although it doesn't ever
(yet) contain the current day's stuff.

It's a work-in-progress, but there *should* be some Westwind entries, if
that's what you were looking at.

Nope.

Not yet. The controls are minimal so far, obviously.

JJ>Is an 'issue' one days worth of posts ? How are volume cutoffs determined ?

Volume/issues correspond to the digests, yep. And right now everyone's on
volume 1, and there isn't any way to increment it. Coming soon.

Thanks for the link. It looks pretty good to me and will be useful for
those folks that want to keep up with the game but can't stand getting
their inboxes filled with stuff.

Bye for now,

Can't find any 'volumes' with entries to see how it formats the messages - they were all empty ? Also, it lets you go 'previous' to negative volume numbers.

Err..

Well, it doesn't now but it did - were you working on this while my note was being written?

'Next' still lets you go to nonexistent volumes, though.

And now there's some entries too. They look fine, but I can't figure out how to (or if you can) post from the web interface.

Is an 'issue' one days worth of posts ? How are volume cutoffs determined ?

Didn't know there'd be a Westwind one - I was looking at bohavia.
They're a lot more frequent posters than I am anyhow, so there was more
to look at :-)

The first time I went there, there were no 'issues'. I have no idea how
I managed to get to view volume -4; all I remember doing is pressing
'previous' several times because I thought if there wasn't anything in
the current volume maybe earlier ones had entries, but somehow I got
there. Now I can't repeat it. If I ever figure out what I did, I'll post
again. Otherwise, 'never mind'.

Was there anything wrong with Mhonarc, or some features you wanted to
add ? How'll it be different once all's finished (other than looking
much more like part of the phoenyx than the Mhonarc pages did)?

Is there any ETA on the register.html password capability? I was about
to post a note telling the Westwinders how to change their nicknames and
list status with the new setup when I reread your note a few weeks back
about that page allowing you to change anyone's settings.

Password maintenance is a hassle; dunno if just having an email
confirmation would be better or worse. You do need some way to stop
people from turning off other people's mail, though.
