Since we have all this neato memory and processing power now, I restarted the system-hog IRC server. Connect to phoenyx.net:6667 and you're in; channel names are restricted to listnames (phoenyx or wirebird, it doesn't care). Let me know if any of you are using this... right now, I manually start it, and if it dies for some reason it won't restart. If it gets serious use, I'll set it up more robustly. Alternatively, I could set up perlmud, if you want a more interactive chat environment. -- Karen J.
