That 'un (and a few others that have come through) was custom-built for
you... were you to look at the actual headers (which really ought to be in
there, I don't know why I decided to leave them out), you'd see that it
was addressed directly to the list, and (as far as the software knows)
looks just like an ordinary non-subscriber message. Aside from the fact
that the From: line doesn't match the Received: path, there's nothing to
tell software that it's spam... anybody who posts with their Hotmail
address from their ordinary account has a non-matching From:/Received:
anyway, so that's not necessarily a clue.

'Course, I could just block uu.net (the folks found in the Received:
line); it wouldn't be the first time it had happened to them. But that
would probably take out more than a few innocent bystanders. That's the
one thing that irritates me about the T1 we'll eventually be getting:
UUnet is the most economical, but it annoys me that they can't keep their
own house just a little cleaner.

We're going to be getting a T1?

I said "eventually." To run the Linux rack we resell time on. (Or maybe
a bunch of Magic Boxes running Unix apps natively without Unix, just
because it'd be cool and really confusing to script kiddies.)
