My PBeM is AD&D style. I can format to PBeM though. I've been DM'ing for about 2 years and I can really add bang to the campaign. This campaign setting is called Eart. It contains an extensive roleplaying universe for all. You begin at module 1 (Level 0) and keep on going in an giant storyline as you explore all of Eart. Eart has three main isles. The first isle (Inys Haen) is where your training begins. You'll gain about 9-12 levels on this isle. You'll then travel the other isles. The next isles are Inys Nohr and finnaly Daventry. In one module if the characters do something I've prepped they'll discover a whole new isle. You'll eventually end back somewhere on Inys Haen with more modules to conquer. I assume my world would last a good 2-3 years before going sour. I have the complete accessories to AD&D and I've run many RPG's but never an PBeM. I've done Message Board RPG's which are similar to PBeM. Thankyou for considering my proposal and I hope that I will have your approval to host my PBeM on your site. -- -------------------------------------------------------------- Listowner tools are found at http://www.phoenyx.net/listowners
Doesn't really say much about the game, but I guess one can assume a typical medieval AD&D type game. Nothing wrong with that, but with only two years DM'ing experience and no PBEM experience, I wonder how good his "extensive roleplaying universe" really is. And gaining 9-12 levels just in the starting phase of the game? He estimates 2-3 years. I'd say either 2-3 months (if it's not very good and people lose interest) or 2-3 decades (if there really is that much to do). My recommendation is that he should (A) be a player in a PBEM for a while to get a feel for them, and then (B) tailor the adventures to what can reasonably be accomplished in PBEM time frames, with a focus on role-playing rather than level advancement.
