I just bulk-moderated a user; it happens from time to time. It's not
mandatory that you leave him there when I do something like this, but it's
up to you.
But before you do, you maybe want to look at
http://www.phoenyx.net/storm/2000/03/msg00049.html
and the next eight messages following it (there are, so far, three more
already caught by moderation).
Actually, the one you really want to read is
http://www.phoenyx.net/storm/2000/03/msg00056.html
The irony is... well, just read it. ("VICKI" is no relation to
"sean," either.)
Now, the ones where the software switched his domain to include the flynn3
host, but came back with "not found," those are the ones where he's signed
up, but later unsubscribed. So it's not as if he doesn't know how to do
it.

If not, it may be an encouraging sign that MS>he's finally deciphered how mailing lists work...(perhaps) Nope, I generally don't forcibly remove someone, especially when he's just thrown a tantrum demanding that I do exactly that. I just set them to moderated and let them rant in a corner where the group at large doesn't have to listen, and when they decide to ask nicely, *then* they get help. http://www.phoenyx.net/gofish.html sums up my philosophy on the subject of unsubscribing people; feel free to point people in that direction. -- Karen J. I try not to do it often, but when someone crossposts a Metallica/Napster rant to a whole bunch of Phoenyx lists/moderators *and* a couple hundred other people (some of whom aren't smart enough to figure out how not to reply to the other couple hundred subscribers), they get blacklisted. Hopefully that wasn't anyone's player... ---------- Forwarded message ---------- Date: Mon, 29 May 2000 09:20:48 cdt From: majordomo@phoenyx.net To: Karen J. Karen, Yeppers. Is it too early to start begging? He's a newbie roleplayer with potential. In his defense, he's 18 and obviously displays that age's typical lack of impulse control. Can I vouch for him/offer bribes/sacrifice to the deity of your choice so I can keep him? He may be a stupid, impulsive kid...but he's my stupid, impulsive player. His character has such potential for mayhem in my game. Please? Steve Post Conlegium "Karen J.
