Okay, I've gotten what I believe are all of my problems worked out on the OS upgrade for firebird (the Phoenyx box). Sunday, June 18, the Phoenyx will be down for approximately two hours between 1 and 4 PM. I will be swapping in a new harddrive and then upgrading the operating system and many support programs. This will give us a faster hard drive, more current software, and get us out of the dark ages of Debian Linux. Incoming mail will be held at the sending site for (normally) up to four hours without generating any warnings or errors. Even after that, it usually takes days before a sending site will discard mail as undeliverable to a machine that is down. We will attempt to set up a temporary web server to indicate that we are down for maintenance, but that might not happen. (We need to get a machine with a 10Base-T network adapter to connect it to the DSL device.) -- -------------------------------------------------------------- Listowner tools are found at http://www.phoenyx.net/listowners
