Discussion, mostly technical, about running Phoenyx groups goes here. Hypotheticals and wishlists go in stakeholders.

[Web] Navbar graphics

If you have a black-background page and would prefer the navbar to match,
there's a variant explained at

I'm probably going to be shuffling the navbar around a little bit; moving
"Home" to where "Related Groups" are, so that it can be a little clearer
that that's the group/game home, and probably making the six smaller
buttons into just four (dropping "Email" and merging Join Group/Settings)
so that I can put something a little more clear on each one.

Suggestions always welcome...

[Web] Game open/closed status?

Ages ago, games used to be sorted on the main Phoenyx pages as either
accepting players or not. Is there still a way to indicate that a game is
closed to new players? I can adjust the signup message appropriately, but
people don't see that until they subscribe, and I'm pretty sure most of the
recent subscribers to Westwind have never even looked at the main Westwind
web page, never mind the Oasis one (which lists the game as not accepting
new players, jut lurkers).

No, there isn't a way right now. Chiefly because no one kept it up to
date. You can change the long description ("blurb"), though when you do
it's a good idea to let me know, since I don't have those pages
regenerating every night just now, since we haven't been adding games all
that frequently. I'm working on a web redesign, at which point we'll
launch a new ad campaign which should bring in some fresh blood. I
haven't even put out rec.games.frp.announce messages in a long, long time.
