Carl:

Has the LSaga stuff been updated?

If it hasn't been, perhaps you should poke at him one more time.

I'm going to be away for a few days (heading to LunaCon), so I won't
be able to do anything with it.

I looked at it yesterday and thought I'd wait until today to give him a
full week... but it hasn't been updated. Somebody new signed up since
yesterday afternoon, though. (It now has two users, counting the GM.)

We didn't get a response at all from your last prodding?

I haven't been to a con in ages. I really ought to go to one this summer.

I didn't get one and I assume you haven't gotten on either.

Had lots of fun, came down with a relapse of the flu.

Nope. This is one of the annoying things about this process... when the
GM suddenly stalls and won't respond.

The second subscriber is apparently his co-GM. The application is signed
"David & Kenneth". There's one post to the list about "finding some web
space".

Try sending mail to the list itself where both of them can see it. Ask
them to respond by Friday or we'll close the list. You might suggest that
if they're looking for web space, they've got that right here at the
Phoenyx. I don't like to threaten, but I don't like to waste time chasing
down GM's who can't even reply to email. It doesn't bode well for the
game anyway.

Like I said earlier, we need to incorporate the "you need to be ready to
go" bit into what the GM reads before applying. But there's a lot of
stuff that needs to go there right now. (Karen and I have discussed it...
I'm afraid of overwhelming potential GM's with the core of the do_better,
the mission, etc. But these are things GM's really ought to see
up-front.)

Bummer.

I can believe it.

Slow progress, but progress.

[Remainder of suggestion snipped]

lsage@phoenyx.net, right? And I think I'll give them until next
Monday, as I likely won't get the email written until tomorrow night.

Correction, I have been reminded (by seeing the emails trying to
schedule meeting for dinner) that we are going to the Ani DiFranco
(sp?) concert tomorrow night, so I probably won't have the chance to
write and send the email until Thursday night.

Sorry about that.

lsaga. Give them whatever time you think is appropriate. My tendency is
to want to say "you've had three weeks and you aren't responding to email,
I'm closing your list" but I dislike doing that without giving them
sufficient warning that their list may be closed if they don't respond.

As long as the list isn't public (shown on the web page form and openings
list) it really doesn't matter how long the list is actually active. I'm
just concerned that this kind of behavior is an indication of what they're
going to be like as a GM.

Of course, it could be that the GM has been run over by a dump truck and
his lack of response isn't his fault.

Well, I was nice. I gave them until next Wednesday and didn't say
that we'd close if we didn't hear from them.

Now, my next consideration is: Do I make use of the security hole that
Jason found and approve my own message?

I did CC: you and Silver, as well as David's direct account.

Hopefully this is not the case.
