Agreed.

And the scarier thing is, it's the best request of the weekend.

I didn't want to hear that. I haven't looked them over yet and we got
quite a few. Oh well... bad ones are easy to deal with.

Sorry about that. But some of them are really scary.

The one from the (claimed) 14 year old kid who's been playing lots of
BG and wants to run a game is probably the second best of the lot.

Nope. Balder's Gate. Probably II, but, shall we be charitable and
say only that, perhaps lacked a full command of the keyboard and leave
it at that.

Ok... that makes it even scarier!

Per your message to check pbemlist.html, I now know we have a
game with "demigoids." Frankly, I think the colon game fits in well.

Can listowners see the new submissions? If so, how?

Only the site owners and the category editors can see submissions. It's
better that way.

I went through the applications after lunch... not a one worth looking
at. Two ignored for wasting my time, five given the "do better"
formletter, but I don't expect a response from any of them.

Sometimes I think of my "do better" formletter as the "scare off the
riff-raff" formletter... it does a good job of discouraging the
less-serious applicants.

Ah... another application has just come in. That's a lot for a single
weekend... has our URL been posted somewhere that attracted a lot of
attention?

....And I thought I was up against stiff competition when I first
applied....I'm not sure if thisdiscussion is supposed to enhanced my ego or
shoot it down. :-) In any case, it's nice to know what quality control has
to put up with.

Oh, no... there's no competition at all. I'll take every quality game I
can get my hands on. It's just that quality is few and far between.

Wow. Nice to know that we're the few, the proud, the Phoenyx GMs.

Just makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside, don't it?

Later.

Actually, "demigoids" is straight out of one of the *current* game
descriptions. A single typo wouldn't be bad, except that it makes
for about a 10% error rate for that description.

It's not the only problem child, though, or I wouldn't have posted on
the main list.

Am referring to a game on the 'active' list. "Starchild," whose
description is limited to "A game about creating a world... and the
demigoids that do it... "

No apparent play in progress.
