I think those are fantastic ideas!  I like the idea of a newsletter sort of
thing.  I think that it should definitely be placed in a public area for
anyone to view, not just members!

Cool.  This book I'm reading shows how every major successful community
has it's leaders out front and communicating regularly.  I think Karen and
I are too much "behind the scenes" as far as our regular user is
concerned.  If the newsletter is regular (at least monthly, but more than
that might be annoying) we ought to be able fix the problem of users not
even knowing that phoenyx.net isn't just another ISP or web host or
something.
