Discussion, mostly technical, about running Phoenyx groups goes here. Hypotheticals and wishlists go in stakeholders.

The thing I've been working most on recently is the member profile
pages. Once we get the web-based membership system up and
going, we're a large step in the direction of bringing the 2.0 software
online.

The hard part isn't the programming, here, it's deciding what goes
into the profile. So I did a mockup of that:

Ignore the top and left-side bars, they're just placeholders. Most of
the links go nowhere (actually, I think they'll just go to the
listowners directory, where the page lives). And I haven't actually
looked at it in Netscape (or anything but IE4 and Lynx), so it may
do wacky things. The format isn't important anyway, just the
content.

What exactly will be expected in "Name" field? Real
	name, net name, nickname...?

Location relevancy? [Heck, this is the net. Of course,
it helps sometimes when I have to explain inches to the
	rest of the world...]

	Member since?
My problem with this one is that I may be fairly new, but
I jumped in with both feet and started to get involved. My
three months doesn't rate up with X's seven years, but what
has X done for you lately? [blink, blink, look cute, grin]

	Problem with "IM" is there are so many to choose from;
will it be a single field or multiple?

I like the Member Of field, definitely. Could it include
	character names/pages?

What about an, "I'm interested in:"
	with checkboxes from:
	"Playing more,"
	"GMing,"
	"Lurking"?

	GMing style?
	Biggest Gaming Pet Peeve?
	Best character story?
If you could sum up my communication style as a type of
animal, the animal I would be is...?

[just kidding on that last one]

	Still thinking...

Whatever people use to identify themselves on the net.

Location is so we can have a cool map. Um, I'd point you to the
London perlmongers map, but it seems to be gone.

Yeah, plus everybody's going to have "Member since we switched
to the new software, which was three weeks ago" for awhile.

Freeform, probably.

It will probably link to the sub-profile for that member, specific to
the group. Which can be the character's profile, instead.

Yeah, Carl and I discussed having a sort of database of
Games/Genres/Franchises I'm Interested In, so that Joe
Gamemaster can come along and say "Whoa, there's eight people
who wanna play [Obscure Game Circa 1981], cool! I haven't run
that in a coon's age!"

Probably fall under Playing Style.

There will probably be a freeform field at the end, similar to the Bio,
where all these things can be put in.

Sweet. Nice design and color scheme.

Are the profile pages for the various games going to morph into something
similar?

Later.
