Okay, no, I'm not. I'm a new player. I've just accessed the Phoenyx front page, saw the article about openings, and followed the link to your game. Is it clear to me what I should do next? -- -------------------------------------------------------------- Game(s): The Whole Phoenyx Listowner tools are found at http://www.phoenyx.net/listowners/

Is it clear to me what I should do next? Hmm... Probably not. I suppose that means I should work on that, right? -- -------------------------------------------------------------- Game(s): Rumors of War / Science Fiction Category Editor Listowner tools are found at http://www.phoenyx.net/listowners/

Is it clear to me what I should do next? Speaking of, the Realms page seems to be suddenly missing the navbar. Whether Karen makes the navbar optional or not, there has to be something on your game's main page to tie it to the Phoenyx. Your game will benefit from our reputation, for one thing. -- -------------------------------------------------------------- Game(s): Fudge, Worldmaking, Fantasy Co-Editor, Phoenyx Co-Owner Listowner tools are found at http://www.phoenyx.net/listowners/

The problem I'm having is that with FP2k you really need to use ftp (rather than the browser based one file at a time) to guarantee everything gets uploaded (I cursed myself by deciding to use a FP scheme): It's taking an hour of uploads to get all the graphics, etc. in place any time I update the pages. When will ftp access be available? I'll see if I can get it fixed this weekend, though it may have to wait until next week b/c I'll be in the process of a cross-country move starting on Sunday. When > will ftp access be available? Today, this very moment, you can now FTP directly into your web file area using your listname and password. Just ftp to ftp.phoenyx.net and enter your listname as the login, then your web-editor password (probably your initial password). Sorta. We're now maintaining passwords in about three or four different places. I'm not sure if you can change your web-editor password right now (Karen, is that linked to changing the list password?). I generated the FTP passwords from the web-editor passwords. (Turns out that I can't directly use the same password file as I thought.) So if you've changed your list password, this one may or may not match right now. If you have trouble logging in, let me know. -- -------------------------------------------------------------- Game(s): Fudge, Worldmaking, Fantasy Co-Editor, Phoenyx Co-Owner Listowner tools are found at http://www.phoenyx.net/listowners/

Look at sub cmd_passwd in /var/firehawk/bin/fh_server.pl if you want to add the FTP password file to the list. -- -------------------------------------------------------------- Game(s): The Whole Phoenyx Listowner tools are found at http://www.phoenyx.net/listowners/

It isn't easy to fix them as a batch... I did the best I could at the moment without getting deep into it, but I'm sure there are things that were missed. I would think the permissions on your index.html would have been right, though. -- -------------------------------------------------------------- Game(s): Fudge, Worldmaking, Fantasy Co-Editor, Phoenyx Co-Owner Listowner tools are found at http://www.phoenyx.net/listowners/
