Oh, yeah... at 10:30 this morning, we did the physical cable swap and switched DSL providers. No longer are we a vestigal and soon-to-be-excised abberant account on Mother EarthLink... we're back to a local provider (iWichita.com) staffed by people I used to work with at my old provider (SouthWind.net, which was bought up by EarthLink, who isn't going to support DSL in this area). The transition went *very* well... not a hitch, and unless you were trying to reach us between 10:30 and 10:40 CST, you probably didn't even notice it happened. (We managed this by having two live DSL connections in the house at the same time. It was very nice. Of course, it was my amazing expertise at networking that made it all go off so smoothly. :) It cost a $150 setup-fee to switch providers, plus our rates have gone up. I don't normally beg for donations, but if you've got some extra cash, this is a good time for it. http://www.phoenyx.net/fees.html And thank you for helping make the Phoenyx what it is... you gamemasters and volunteers are the core of the Phoenyx service and we can't do it without you.
