Discussion, mostly technical, about running Phoenyx groups goes here. Hypotheticals and wishlists go in stakeholders.

MGR: Deleting messages, threads

I've had a look through the moderator's help, but can't find the answer to
what I am looking for.

Suppose I want to delete messages that are now in the "webread" section of my
group. How do I do this? I thought it would be as simple as going through
the web-editor, selecting the relevant messages, and clicking on delete.
This hasn't worked.

Can anyone provide a helpful tip for me?

You can't do it. The archive is read-only and generated from the raw
digest archive.

If you *really* need messages deleted, we can do it manually for you. But
we don't want to get into deleting trivial stuff like test messages.
