Hi, 1. I have a list member in my Akus game that is away on vacation for a couple of weeks. I rather suspect he didn't put himself on vacation before he went, and his hotmail account is going to fill up..if it hasn't already. Using the web-tools, is there a way for me, as moderator, to change a list member's account to no-mail while they are away? For that matter, suppose someone joins and turns out to be a pita, and a moderator needs to ban that person from the list, can that be done with the web-tools? 2. My second question concerns a player who, because of illness, "disappeared" for several weeks. When he came back and began to post again, he found that although he still recieved posts from the list, he could no longer post to the list. I told him to try unsubcribing and resubscribing, he did, but his problem presists. Is it possible his address got onto a "bad address" list at phoenyx, and if so, is there something we can do about it? I think it can't be done by the web-tools, but you can just send "bounce akus who@ever" to robot@, and it'll put them on suspension. Now, it'll send him a message on the first nightly maintenance (you've been bounced, reply to reactivate yourself), and another in two weeks, and another in, um, four weeks? 30 days? Something like that. Or, if you like the webtools, you can just go in under their name and set them to vacation. They don't get any notification that that's happened, though. > 2. Thanks! That'll do what I want. He can chance it back when he returns. >Now, it'll send him a message on the first nightly maintenance >(you've been bounced, reply to reactivate yourself), and another in >two weeks, and another in, um, four weeks? 30 days? Better to do it with the notification, I should think. >> 2. My second question concerns a player who, because of illness, >> "disappeared" for several weeks. What's his address? earliii@thegrid.net Now, I swear I didn't make this up. Earl sent a test email to the list this evening and suddenly it's working for him again. I asked him what he did/changed, but haven't heard back from him. Maybe it was something on his isp's end, I'll let you know when I hear back from him. I guess I didn't ask what you meant by "could no longer post." If his site was blackholed or something, then yep, that's his ISP's end. If he was getting bounced for moderation (which is what I assumed), then that's the Phoenyx' end. -- -------------------------------------------------------------- Game(s): The Whole Phoenyx Listowner tools are found at http://www.phoenyx.net/listowners/

Well, he told me that he wasn't getting bounces. His posts went out and simply disappeared without a trace. OTOH, his posts to other lists and directly to people was working. Maybe his ISP had phoenyx blocked for some reason. Eris -- -------------------------------------------------------------- Game(s): Listowner tools are found at http://www.phoenyx.net/listowners/
