I am so stupid. The new Firehawk software uses "use strict;" which will prevent me making stupid typos that nonstrict Perl will politely let me use on the assumption that I actually know what I'm doing. Anyway, I think I found the bug I introduced awhile back. At least, I found *a* bug, and squished it.
