The successor to Firehawk (that's the software we're running on now) has
been named Gamehawk rather than Firehawk 2.0, just because.
I'd been blogging (or something similar) in the wiki, but decided to test
some blogging software with an eye toward incorporating something like it
into the wiki. The author of Bryar has an article on Perl.com on turning
it into a "bliki," which is what I want to do.
So anyway, in the course of doing so, I ended up turning it into the very
first Gamehawk group (a blog is, after all, just a discussion group where
only the owner(s) can post new messages, and (perhaps) other people can
reply to them). If nothing else, it gives me a place to scribble my notes
on where I leave off each time, without having to post them here.
If you're actually interested, the Bryar version is here:
http://www.phoenyx.net/gamehawk/bryar.cgi
There are links to the Gamehawk version, which is actually what I'm using,
but the RSS feed isn't live, so Bloglines et al. are still pointed to
Bryar, which does have RSS. Soon as I get Gamehawk's RSS live, the
bryar.cgi will just become an alias.
The NNTP server is live, too, but may not remain so (and requires
registration for posting, and registration isn't live yet). I'll be
posting the code soon for anybody with an eye for Perl security to have a
look at.
