Well, it's finally gotten cold enough to start sleeting instead of raining, so hopefully that's the end of the ice accumulation in the trees. Hopefully. That's the good news. Bad news is that the wind is due to pick up. Good news is, power hasn't had a significant flicker in a few hours. Our street looks rather like the fringes of a tornado path, except that the damage is pretty much limited to the trees. And anything they fell on. Pretty impressive. I might have pictures in the morning, provided the trees haven't fallen on us by then. So far, the elm out front has dropped probably half its branches into the yard (the other half is looming over our front porch, and if it doesn't come down on us tonight I *will* have the city take it out), and the hackberry on the side is pretty much fine (since half looms over our entire *house* and half over the neighbors, this is good). (For the record: Kansas in general may not be known for trees, but Wichita sits in a big river basin, and we're maybe a quarter mile from the river, so in the immediate area we got lots. Er, *had* lots. Tomorrow, not so much.) -- -------------------------------------------------------------- Game(s): The Whole Phoenyx Listowner tools are found at http://www.phoenyx.net/listowners/
