Discussion, mostly technical, about running Phoenyx groups goes here. Hypotheticals and wishlists go in stakeholders.

MGR: How to end a game?

Sadly, it doesn't look like my Phoenyx games are going to be surviving
much longer -- they've both gone about a month without posts, and this
isn't the first time, either.

What is the done thing, here? I mean, obviously I'll tell the players,
etc., but should I try and get someone else to pick them up? That seems
like it'd be pretty unlikely -- people seem to have enough trouble keeping
their own games going.

How about you treat this as a narrative problem; you say that the game
is ending in posts, and tell people to write towards that end?

Or are the players not going to do posts?

GM posts, or player posts?

We've struggled with the "done thing" for years. It'd be nice to have a
player pick it up, but it's always difficult to find an outsider to do so.

Either. I think the last feeble attempt at posting was mine, but I don't
blame the players much for not responding given the general level of
follow-up we've been having.

Yeah, I think most people have enough trouble running games that they've
planned themselves. I might just run some Q&A emails to tie up loose ends.
