Although technically the stakeholders list was converted a little while ago, I'm going to use it as the guinea pig list for the conversion message. Stakeholders *is* cleared for metadiscussion, so you may reply on-list (just don't quote your password back). If there's something in the conversion message that you think is unclear, or that will make your players/readers panic, let me know. Likewise if you can't figure out the profile stuff, can't get logged in, or have other ideas. Of course, if you don't get a post titled "Phoenyx software conversion" in the next little while, let me know that, too.

Right, the message went to the Firehawk-version distrib list (which means anyone who signed up since the conversion will have been missed, but I don't think anyone has), and the list's been running under Gamehawk for some time. Essentially what can happen is this: you're subscribed under List 1 with one address, and under List 2 with another. Lists under Firehawk are independent. I run the big ol' conversion, which manages to figure out you're the same person, so rather than decide between the two it markes them *both* as "primary." Lists under Gamehawk are interrelated... group- (actually topic-) specific subscriptions just say whether you want single or digest (and eventually whether you want text or html) messages. It goes and looks up in the shared profile what addresses to actually send it to. So back when I moved Stakeholders (and GAMERS), I went through and made sure all the current people had only one primary address (because the tools to fix it weren't public yet)... and I may not have picked the one that was their current Stakeholders subscription. GAMERS may have the same problem, but for current subscriptions (everything but here and GAMERS), people will just see multiple primaries, and if they don't fix it, they'll get multiple postings from a list. I need to make a FAQ page for that sort of thing.

Looks pretty slick! Is there currently a way to change our avatar/icon/graphic?

In the meantime, if you mail me one I'll put it up. Eventually I think I'll want 120x120 (which it'll resize to 80x80 or 40x40 in different spots), but for now just the 40x40.
