Seven down, five to go

All the easy lists have been converted. Remaining are:

Macrospace (which will become espace)
Akus (very active)
Celandra (ditto)
Fudge (very large)
Managers (easy but left for last in case everything else breaks)

I think I'll wait a little bit longer and see if any bug reports come in
from the last batch.

Once Fudge and Managers are moved, we can shut down firebird/lists (yay!).
Then Carl can do whatever magic he's going to do (move stuff to garuda at
the colo? Upgrade firebird? I'm not really sure) and somehow or other I'll
end up with a dev machine (versus a dev domain on the live machine), and
I'll work on the next release. Whee.

Firebird's our gateway/firewall for the internal network... it has to
remain in that function until we get things migrated to garuda so we can
downgrade to a "family" DSL account. When that happens, we'll replace
the DSL router with a router+switch that does NAT, and we can finally
put firebird to bed. (A PII-400 with 192M of RAM.)

The next stage is to finish moving "everything" to garuda. And it's not
called "co-location" because we don't own the server. It's a "dedicated
server" which we rent.

Roc becomes your dev machine.

Bah. "Colo" is easier to type/say. ("Hello, hosting service? We'd like to
*buy* that server just so we don't have to say 'dedicated server'
anymore.")

Cool. Let's do this thing. I'm itching to get the moderator tools online,
and the mailboxes, and the character sheets and virtual tabletops, and I
keep poking at live code (which runs both phoenyx.net and wirebird.com
right now... I can take down two sites with one typo, whee!)

I wish. If we owned the server, we could add a second disk drive and
get mirroring without paying a $10 monthly fee.

Let's worry about getting a robust web forum interface first. :) (Which
includes moderator tools.)

I need to finish moving the "independent" webservers over there... I'm
happy with how things are running so far.

And mailboxes (that's the read-mail management stuff), yes. And then
the fun stuff.
